The Jan Trenholm Memorial Scholarship Award

Jan Trenholm, for whom this award was named, was a lawyer, a loving wife and a devoted mother of two children. She loved our Library and worked tirelessly during many of our Annual Book Sales. She was instrumental in shaping it into our fundraiser. After she died following a tragic accident in 2000, her husband, William Warren, and her family generously decided to establish an endowment to enable the Friends of the West Windsor Library to award a scholarship to a deserving college-bound senior who has contributed to our Library in a significant way.

Eligibility : This scholarship is to be awarded to a college-bound high school senior, or one persuing continuing education, who holds a Mercer County Library card. He or she must have either

a)

worked a minimum of 40 hours over the past 12 months as a shelver at
the West Windsor Library or

b)

volunteered at least 25 hours over the past 12 months at the library and/ or
ot the Friends of the West Windsor Library

 

 

 

 

Criteria : The winner will be selected on the basis of meeting eligibility requirements and submitting a completed application, which must be returned to the circulation desk or postmarked no later than May 15 of the senior year. All information received will be kept confidential.
